Christmas Came Early

Will has been learning a lot of new things lately, like how to grip onto his keys and hit himself in the face with them over and over. It doesn't seem to bother him though. Chris has been wanting to buy Will toys for the longest time, but I always ruin the fun by saying that he won't be able to play with them for awhile so we might as well wait to buy them. He has a few toys that people have given him, but not near enough according to Chris. So with his new found skills, I decided it was time to buy him a few more toys to play with. Friday night we headed out to go shopping for toys and it just so happened that Babies R Us opened that day...perfect. I've actually been there three times already. I think we spent at least 30 minutes on the toy aisle, but we did get him some pretty fun stuff. The only bad thing is that Chris likes the toys that make A LOT of noise. Rattles don't bother me, but giggling ducks just about drive me crazy. We compromised though and I picked out a couple of toys I liked and Chris picked out a couple he liked.

Then, on a whim, we decided to buy the Rainforest Jumperoo. Chris and I both really love it and I'm sure Will will love it soon enough. I think he's a little intimidated by it right now, but he does enjoy staring at the birds hanging from the top.

Hanging out with his friends in the rainforest.

Those keys wore him out!

This last picture was taken after church today. He looked so big and cute. I can't believe I actually caught him smiling a little bit. He has been smiling and laughing a ton lately and I can't get enough of it. I will do anything for those smiles....even lick a Target basket (right, Kristin?). You'll have to ask me about that later as it really can't be explained here, but let me just say that it was disgusting.

When I was pregnant and first found out I was having a boy, several moms told me that boys love their mommies sooo much. I have definitely found this to be true. He loves his daddy too, but when I talk to him and especially when I sing to him, he just smiles and laughs and talks and I feel like he just wants to give me a huge hug and tell me how much he loves me. I think this will change as he gets older and figures out how much his daddy wants to play with him!

Okay, one more picture of him really smiling for me! I keep my little digital camera in the diaper bag just for moments like this. We were actually at the mall, standing in line at Chick-fil-a. I felt a little silly taking pictures of him in the middle of the mall, but I couldn't resist.

The jump-a-roo was one of our favorite toys from about 4-5 months until about 15 months! It was a lifesaver... Abi would jump for 30 minutes and then sleep for 2 hours! WOW! :) Enjoy - The toys only get bigger, louder and more expensive!
