Lunch is fun!

Will and I picked up Chris for lunch a couple of days ago and Will had the best time. He was just randomly laughing while looking around the restaurant (Which Wich, which was yummy, by the way). Of course that made us laugh, which made him laugh even harder. There is a little fake (and real) laughing going on this video by Chris and me because we were trying to reenact the moment for the video camera.

Asian Grilled Salmon

IMG_2414

I made this for dinner tonight. Chris and I thought it was pretty good. We took the extras to my parents to eat for dinner since they were keeping Will. My dad said it was just as good as any salmon he'd eaten in Seattle. So I thought I'd share! Click here for the recipe.

9 Months!

Will turned 9 months old today! He had his 9 month checkup with the pediatrician today and he only weighs 16 pounds, 4 ounces and he is 26.75 inches tall. He's a pretty little guy. Since he only fell in the 5th percentile, the doctor told us to go ahead and start supplementing with formula. So that was his "birthday" present. He had never had formula before today and I think he did pretty well with it. He drank 2 ounces on 3 separate occasions. We also found out he has an ear infection! We knew he had been sick with a stuffy nose...but we only knew that because he sounded congested and we've been sucking a lot of snot out of his nose every night. He's been acting perfectly fine though so I was really surprised to find that out. Poor baby!

I didn't post an 8 month update because we were in Orlando and it just got past me...so there is a lot to update you on...

- He crawls everywhere and he's fast! Sometimes I wonder how he got from point A to point B so quickly.
- He pulls up on everything and "cruises" the couch.
- He can also walk on his walker and will even crawl up to his walker and pull himself up on it to walk (as you will see in a video below).
- He finger feeds himself Cheerios and sometimes Puffs...but he really likes the Cheerios.
- He understands "no" and is also learning to obey. I love seeing this obedient spirit...I'm sure there will be challenges to come with this, but so far he is doing great.
- He might be a drummer. He loves playing the air drums and he's constantly banging his toys together or drumming on the table with his hands.
- He likes to sit in his highchair while I do stuff in the kitchen. Maybe he will learn how to cook us dinner soon!
- He gets a kick out of looking at and playing with the baby in the mirror.
- He thinks it is funny to drop toys in the bathtub while I'm getting ready in the morning. It's actually really cute. He lets go of the toy very slowly, then stands on his tippy toes to see where it went.
- He is hilarious! Sometimes he just starts laughing out of nowhere. He is so much fun.

I could never have imagined motherhood would be so much fun. It just gets better and better with each stage. Chris and I love Will so much and our lives would be so boring without him!

Here are two videos from today...enjoy!

I love you, Will!!!

Happy April!

This is what Chris woke up to this morning! Too bad he didn't know it was April Fool's Day. :)
